Sneh Sankalp

On September 30, 2025, Rajni Care Foundation organized a special service program at Chashire Homes in South City, Lucknow. The initiative aimed to bring some ease and warmth to the lives of the elderly residents there.
A total of 21 elderly residents—13 women and 8 men—were present. As part of the program, they were presented with gowns, shawls, towels, and breakfast packets containing poha, porridge, rusks, and biscuits. Essential medications, including multivitamins, calcium, zinc, fever and vomiting medications, and ointments, were also provided to address their health needs.
These elderly residents already have a staff member assigned to care for them, but today was a different day for them. All the volunteers from Rajni Care Foundation visited them, spoke with them, and spent some time with them. The atmosphere quickly became filled with warmth and laughter. Some sang film songs, while others sang bhajans, making the atmosphere emotional.
What was surprising was the vivacity and enthusiasm displayed by these elderly people despite their advanced age. This holds a profound lesson for today's young generation—that losing courage in the face of a small problem is not the answer to life.
At the end of the program, refreshments were also provided for everyone, making the gathering even more intimate.
This "Sneh Sankalp" wasn't just about distributing clothes, food, and medicine, but rather an effort to reach out to those elderly people who need it most—affection and support.
